POLYMER VS 1000

POLYMER VS 1000 is a vinyl-terminated polydimethyl siloxane with a viscosity of 1000 mPas at 25°C and vinyl content of 0.11 mmol/g. It serves as a base polymer in addition-crosslinking silicone formulations. Due to its low content of volatile constituents and crosslinking mechanism, POLYMER VS 1000 provides excellent properties like low curing shrinkage and no volatile or corrosive substances are formed during curing. These features make POLYMER VS 1000 very suitable for applications requiring durability, flexibility and adhesion. When used with suitable crosslinkers, catalysts and additives, POLYMER VS 1000 can deliver long lasting protective and decorative coatings with superior weathering resistance. It can also be used to formulate high performance sealants for construction applications.
