SILIKOPON EC

SILIKOPON EC is a silicone epoxy hybrid resin that provides excellent adhesion and chemical and solvent resistance. It has very good thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance making it suitable for applications requiring durability under harsh conditions. SILIKOPON EC is soluble in common solvents like butylacetate, MIBK, xylene, Dowanol MPA and cyclohexanone allowing for versatile processing. It can be applied by spray or dipping. When cured at 250°C for 30 minutes, SILIKOPON EC delivers a non-volatile content of around 52% and viscosity of approximately 1,000 mPas. Its heat stability of up to 450°C also makes it suitable for applications requiring resistance to high temperatures. SILIKOPON EC can be used with metallic pigments and special formulations to provide long-lasting heat resistance. When combined with alcoxy-functional resins, it forms durable coatings for components facing tough environmental conditions.
