DYNASYLAN 6490

DYNASLYAN 6490 is a reactive vinyl siloxane oligomer that is methoxy functional. It is an excellent compatibiliser and adhesion promoter between inorganic fillers and organic polymers. DYNASYLAN 6490 hydrolyses in the presence of moisture to produce reactive silanol groups. These silanol groups react with fillers via silicon-oxygen bridges, improving dispersion and reducing water uptake. The vinyl groups of DYNASYLAN 6490 also react with polymer phases, enhancing processability, mechanical properties, and chemical resistance of the final product. DYNASYLAN 6490 provides a strongly reduced tendency to stress cracking, higher impact strength, and abrasion resistance. Its high boiling point and flash point make it safe to use. DYNASYLAN 6490 can significantly improve the performance of polymer composites used in various applications.
