DESMODUR RN

DESMODUR RN is a polyisocyanate hardener suitable for crosslinking adhesives based on Desmocoll® natural or synthetic rubber, especially pale-coloured adhesives used to bond rubber materials. DESMODUR RN yields bonds which undergo minimal discoloration on exposure to light. It is virtually colourless to slightly yellowish liquid and does not influence the quality of the bonds. DESMODUR RN is highly sensitive to moisture and reacts with water to form carbon dioxide and insoluble ureas. It is used mainly as a hardener in coating materials or adhesives. The handling of coating materials or adhesives containing reactive polyisocyanates and residual monomeric HDI / TDI requires appropriate protective measures. DESMODUR RN provides benefits of minimal discoloration on exposure to light and does not influence the quality of the bonds when used in pale-coloured adhesives for bonding rubber materials.
