BAYHYTHERM 3246

BAYHYTHERM 3246 is a water-reducible, aliphatic, self-crosslinking stoving urethane resin dispersion. BAYHYTHERM 3246 offers extraordinary properties like impact strength, adhesion and overcoatability which are highly desirable in applications related to protective and decorative surface coatings. BAYHYTHERM 3246 can be used for formulating one-component baking systems like waterborne primers and general purpose industrial coatings. It exhibits high reactivity, good pigment wetting and thermal stability. BAYHYTHERM 3246 offers advantages like easy dilutability which results in better solids content and filling power of coating systems at spray viscosity. BAYHYTHERM 3246 based coatings cure within 30 minutes at 130°C and exhibit overbaking stability up to 120 minutes at 190°C. BAYHYTHERM 3246 is known to improve flexibility, impact strength and adhesion in conventional waterborne baking systems.
