BAYHYDUR XP 2451/1

BAYHYDUR XP 2451/1 is a hydrophilic aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI). It acts as the hardener component in the formulation of water-reducible two-component coatings and sealers. BAYHYDUR XP 2451/1 can be easily emulsified in the aqueous phase due to its hydrophilic character. It is mainly used as the crosslinking agent for aqueous polyol binders. BAYHYDUR XP 2451/1 can also be added to conventional OH-free dispersions to improve their property profiles such as durability, flexibility and adhesion. Its unique properties make BAYHYDUR XP 2451/1 ideal for enhancing the performance of various waterborne systems used in construction applications requiring high mechanical strength, chemical resistance and weatherability.
