BAYHYDUR 2655

BAYHYDUR 2655 is a hydrophilic aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI). It is suitable as a hardener for waterborne two-component systems. BAYHYDUR 2655 provides reliable incorporation and high chemical resistances in applications where these properties are required. Despite its relatively low hydrophilia, this hardener can be easily dispersed in the aqueous phase, even at low shear forces. Coatings formulated with BAYHYDUR 2655 yield films with high gloss and very low haze. The product exhibits fast drying, rapid hardening with high ultimate hardness and excellent chemical resistance of the resultant films. BAYHYDUR 2655 can also be used as the crosslinking partner for waterborne polyol binders and as a crosslinker for largely pH-neutral waterborne polymer dispersions. It provides benefits such as corrosion protection, durability and longevity for various substrate applications.
