AEROSIL E 805

AEROSIL E 805 is a fumed silica additive after-treated with an organosilane. It provides extraordinary rheological properties by maintaining brilliant transparency. It is very easy to disperse, requiring only incorporation by dissolver. AEROSIL E 805 delivers excellent rheology effect with high efficiency due to its low carbon content between 4.5-6.5%. Its high transparency makes it especially recommended for applications requiring clarity. It maintains a high pH-value of 3.5-5.5 and is highly recommended for epoxy systems due to its corrosion resistance, anti-settling, anti-sagging properties and specific surface area of 125-175 m2/g. As a versatile additive, AEROSIL E 805 is suitable for solventborne, waterborne and radiation-curing single and two-component coating systems. It can be added as supplied or as a predilution at a rate of 1.0-2.0% of the total formulation weight. When handled and stored properly, AEROSIL E 805 has a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture.
