MODIFIER 705

MODIFIER 705 is a SiH-terminated polydimethyl siloxane modifier which is used as a plasticizer in addition-curing silicones. Due to its difunctional structure, MODIFIER 705 does not react by cross- linking, but by extending the chains of vinyl-terminated silicone polymers. Use of MODIFIER 705 reduces the crosslinking density and therefore the elastomen hardness. MODIFIER 705 allows obtaining products with a low Shore hardness, even when using low- viscosity vinyl polymers. This makes MODIFIER 705 suitable for applications requiring flexibility and durability like sealants and coatings. MODIFIER 705 formulated products provide excellent adhesion, flexibility and weatherability ideal for protective and decorative Coatings & Construction applications.
