GENENCARE XL

GENENCARE XL is a highly purified xylitol extracted from wood and upcycled from a paper production side stream. It is a prebiotic that provides moisturization benefits while supporting microbiome diversity for applications. GENENCARE XL stimulates lactate production by S. epidermidis (in-vitro). Lactate is part of the N.M.F., helping to maintain skin's hydration. It also helps maintain microbiome diversity which contributes to preserving skin barrier integrity (in-vitro culture, metagenomic analysis). GENENCARE XL improves lipidic layer composition and organization by accelerating exocytosis of lamellar bodies and increasing lipid fluidity. It helps improve skin moisturization by retaining water in the SC (clinical study, 43 volunteers, 8 hour kinetic, corneometry) and can contribute to a cooling sensation as the dissolution of xylitol in water is an endothermic reaction.
