DESMOCOLL 176

DESMOCOLL 176 is a flexible polyurethane adhesive from Covestro that offers outstanding adhesion on a wide variety of substrates used in building materials. As a predominantly linear hydroxyl polyurethane, DESMOCOLL 176 has a medium crystallization rate and minimum activation temperature of approximately 45°C making it suitable for applications requiring bonding of different surfaces at ambient temperatures. Its hot tack life of approximately 4 minutes and heat resistance up to 45°C also make DESMOCOLL 176 well-suited for construction applications involving heat-curing of bonded joints. DESMOCOLL 176 demonstrates excellent bondability of materials containing limited plasticizers commonly used in building products. It dissolves readily in common solvents allowing easy formulation of high-performance adhesives for construction materials like leather, rubber, textiles, wood, plastics and metal sheets.
