Capmul® PG-12 EP/NF is a Type II Propylene Glycol Monolaurate, a propylene glycol monoester of lauric acid. It is an excellent solubilizer for many complex poorly soluble drug compounds. Capmul PG-12 EP/NF is primarily used as a carrier in soft and hard gelatin capsules, a penetration enhancer in transdermal drug delivery systems and a secondary emulsifier in microemulsions.
