DESMODUR VPLS 2394

DESMODUR VPLS 2394 is an aromatic/aliphatic polyisocyanate based on toluene diisocyanate/hexamethylene diisocyanate supplied at approximately 60% in butyl acetate. It is used in combination with various Desmophen® products or other suitable hydroxyl-bearing compounds in the formulation of clear and pigmented two-component polyurethane coatings characterized by fast drying and good lightfastness. DESMODUR VPLS 2394 offers fast drying time particularly advantageous for clear and pigmented coatings applied on wood. It also allows application by the curtain coating process. The product is sensitive to moisture and requires storage between 0-30°C. It is compatible with many polyester-based Desmophen® products and has limited compatibility with hydroxyl-bearing acrylates. DESMODUR VPLS 2394 is suitable for applications requiring fast drying and durability.
