DYNASYLAN MTES

DYNASILAN MTES is a colorless, low-viscosity liquid that reacts slower with water than other similar products. It is regarded as trifunctional since all three alkoxy groups are able to participate in hydrolysis reaction. Additionally DYNASYLAN MTES contains a methyl group that adds organic character to the products formed. Hydrolysis of DYNASYLAN MTES leads to silanol groups which, in a subsequent condensation reaction, form very stable siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-). This allows formation of materials with higher durability and UV stability than traditional options. DYNASYLAN MTES can be used to construct inorganic/organic networks by adding other silanes and polymers. This leads to materials that have better mechanical strength, adhesion and flame resistance properties crucial for applications that require longevity and safety.
