DESMOLAC 4340 X/IB

DESMOLAC 4340 X/iB is a non-reactive linear polyurethane binder supplied at approximately 40% in xylene/isobutanol. It is used as a physically drying binder for primers and finishes. DESMOLAC 4340 X/iB has good thinnability with aromatics, esters and ketones to around 10% solids content. It provides virtually unlimited thinnability when mixed with aromatics and lower boiling alcohols. Being compatible with aliphatic and aromatic polyisocyanates, it can be mixed to improve solvent resistance of coatings after 1-2 weeks. DESMOLAC 4340 X/iB is suitable for flexible substrates and solvent-sensitive surfaces due to its physical drying properties. It offers formulators the flexibility to customize coatings for varied applications.
