BENTONE 1000

BENTONE® 1000 by Elementis is a highly efficient and cost-effective rheological additive designed for use in low to intermediate polarity organic systems. It is organic derivative of bentonite clay. It is easy to use and exhibits consistent rheological properties. It eliminates need for pregels and the need for chemical activators in conventional solvent-based systems. It is used in trade sales paints, varnishes, light industrial finishes, asphaltic-based coatings, industrial maintenance and marine coatings. Recommended dosage level is 0.2-1.0% for most paint application and above 1.0% by weight for systems containing conventional rheological additive.
